I really like an author who isn’t afraid to think outside of the box and you definitely get that with CJ Redwine, and while I enjoyed most of the storyline, I had a small bit of trouble with the fire breathing dragon. I think that is because the civilizations seemed to far advanced to be afraid of or unable to capture and destroy this creature.
However, please don’t let that deter you from reading. The characters are incredibly engaging. Rachel, who is a red head, lives up to the feisty nature most gingers have been pegged with. She’s extremely protective of the one’s she loves and very fierce.
Logan is a total heartthrob! He had me smitten from the moment he started talking. When Rachel’s dad “dies” and Logan is named her guardian the sparks fly and they continue to light up the sky even when they are trying to fight the attraction.
Defiance is action packed and fast paced and a total page turner. You’ll fall in love with Logan and be a total cheerleader for Rachel. Maybe even shed a tear or two.
