Review:
Vicky Hernandez is a regular teenage girl. That is until she wakes up in a coffin. After punching and clawing her way out of the grave, she struggles to get her equilibrium back. Once Vicky discovers what she is, she has to make some very tough decisions. Vicky must leave everyone and everything that she loves behind. All of this, while someone keeps coming after her. Vicky doesn’t know how or why she died. What she does know is that she is super strong, super-fast, and above all, blood thirsty.
I really enjoyed Vicky’s story of becoming a vampire. Once she leaves town, she meets a neat group of friends and finds support in surprising places. Experiencing her struggles between bloodlust and wanting to do right was interesting, and very realistically done. Vicky is an extremely relatable character that is trying not to kill people while blending in with humanity. Her tale was very interesting, and I would definitely recommend the story of Vicky and her Bloody Little Secrets!
