Fall From Grace Part Deux

Fall From Grace

Yay! What a special treat we have for you today! After this mornings post we had a guardian angel who graciously took her time to come up with some additional and less spoilerish questions for Charles . . . err I mean Sawyer to answer! We bow to her, many times.

Again, I encourage you to read FALL FROM GRACE so these questions make sense. After you read it, come back and you’ll completely get it.

Q: Why are you still with Zoe?

Sawyer: Okay, I’ll admit, Zoe can me a bit, well, demanding, and if you know her, you know she can be a little bossy. And mean. And insulting, self-centered, petty, high-maintenance and short-tempered. But have you seen her? She’s got a killer body and she’s drop-dead gorgeous, and on those rare occasions when she says it’s okay that we fool around, it’s not always bad. Plus, she’s way outta my league. I guess she’s still with me ‘cuz I sortta let her have her way on everything. Why? Have you seen her? (And if you still don’t get the attraction, ask any guy who’s seen her.)

Q: What is the one thing you want to change about your senior year?

Sawyer: Hmmm. I never really thought about it. I mean, it’s not like I’ve made a lot of decisions. See, my parents have got these plans for me and, well, I guess they’re okay. Plus my girlfriend, Zoe, she’s always got some ideas about what I should be doing. I guess I never looked at my life as something I had control over. I think that’s what I found so cool about hanging around Grace. She’s got lots of plans–okay, they’re ridiculous plans, but they’re her’s and she’s excited about them. I’ve never known anyone like her. She’s got what my grandfather used to call moxie. We’d call it balls, but it sounds weird saying that about a girl so I’ll say moxie. I guess what I’d change is I’d spend more time with Grace and less with Zoe. But that won’t go over well with Zoe, so that probably won’t happen.

Q: Describe yourself in 3 words.

Sawyer: Well, my parents say I’m unmotivated, so I guess I’ll say that. Zoe says I’m presentable, whatever she means by that. Okay, I know what she means, but it’s better than what her friends call me. They say I’m “well trained”, but that’s two words.  And for some reason, Grace thinks I’m fun. Not in a sex way or anything–it’s not like that with us. It’s more of a, I don’t know, friend kind of thing. I like that about her.

Q. What’s your best memory with Zoe?

Sawyer: I’m not about to give you the details or anything, but let’s just say it had to do with sex (and the one time she didn’t make it seem like it was a hassle and she wasn’t all worried about her hair or it taking more than ten minutes.)

Q: What about Grace intrigued you the most?

Sawyer: I’ve never known anyone like her. She’s funny for one. Granted, some of her jokes are lame, but she’s always laughing. And she just does what she wants, sottra makes up her own rules as she goes along. She’s also a good person–and I know that sounds strange given what she get’s up to–but she’s never cruel or mean, and she really listens to me when we talk. She asks my opinion on things she knows better than me, like old movies. Hanging out with Grace is like hanging out with the most fun guy you know. Except she’s not a guy. A mean, she’s good looking and all, and she’s got this athletic little body, but that’s not what I like about being around her. I don’t know, it’s hard to explain how I feel about her. If you’ve ever had a best friend that was the opposite sex, you have an idea what I mean. But you really got to meet Grace. She’s…different.

Q: What was the first thing you thought when you woke up this morning?

Sawyer: Before I met Grace I would have said “Same shit, different day.” After Grace? “Today is gonna be fun.”

Q: If you’d known how everything would work out, would you still do it?

Sawyer: I think about that all the time.
