Title: I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: Six’s Legacy
Author: Pittacus Lore
Publisher: Penguin
Published: Out Now
Summary: Number Six – when John meets her in I Am Number Four she’s strong, powerful, and ready to fight. But who is she? Where has she been living? How has she been training? When did she develop her legacies? And how does she know so much about the Mogadorians? In I Am Number Four: The Lost Files: Six’s Legacy, discover the story behind Six. Before Paradise, Ohio, before John Smith, Six was traveling through West Texas with her Cêpan, Katarina. What happened there would change Six forever . . .
My Review: Those of you who have read I Am Number Four – or even watched the movie adaptation that was released earlier this year – will have already been introduced to Number Six. She’s feisty, she’s kick-ass, and she knows how to beat the odd Mogadorian or two. But how, exactly, did Number Six become such a fighter? This is her story.
Written as a prequel to I Am Number Four and as a prelude to the forthcoming sequel, The Power Of Six (which is released later this month); this novella is full of action and emotion. We meet Number Six as a thirteen year old. Together with her Cepan – her mother/guardian to you and I – she’s honing her legacies and learning to defend herself in preparation for the inevitable fate that lies before her. Like Number Four, when one of their kind is mercilessly murdered by the Mogadorians, Six receives a scar on her ankle. Only when she receives her second one, she doesn’t think her time to fight for survival would come so quickly.
Those of you who love The Hunger Games will love this story. Six’s story is one of survival. What happens to her makes her the person she is when we meet her in I Am Number Four. She goes through a vast range of emotions as she fights for her life, emotions that help her develop her powerful legacies – and it’s those legacies that ultimately save her life.
The Lost Files: Six’s Legacy is a nice little insight into how Six’s mind works and I am definitely hoping that we’ll get to learn more about her in Book 2 of the Lorien Legacies when it is released.

Looks like I’ll be reading this. Love The Hunger Games so much. Still need to see I Am Number Four.
