Review:
Got your Kleenex ready? We’ve got a tearjerker for you!
Gayle Forman‘s critically acclaimed novel If I Stay generated lots of buzz when it came out in 2009. And for good reason.
The author created such a heart wrenching drama through the voice of a teen girl named Mia, who must face a huge life and death decision…
It’s a character who’s easy to relate to, since she deals with a lot of the problems that most teens have: anxiety about school and relationships. For instance, will her passion for the cello and pursuit of a music career interfere with her love life?
But everything changes one fateful day in February when Mia gets into a car accident that takes the lives of her family members and leaves her in a coma.
She must then decide if it’s better to remain on Earth (but be without her fam) or whether she should leave behind the people who still care about her.
Once you start If I Stay you won’t want to put it down. If you’ve already read it, refresh your memory and prepare for Where She Went, the follow-up sequel due out April 5th! You can pre-order it RIGHT HERE!
