Title- One Moment
Author- Kristina McBride
Publisher- Egmont USA

Summary- This was supposed to be the best summer of Maggie’s life. Now it’s the one she’d do anything to forget.
Maggie Reynolds remembers hanging out at the gorge with her closest friends after a blowout party the night before. She remembers climbing the trail hand in hand with her perfect boyfriend, Joey. She remembers that last kiss, soft, lingering, and meant to reassure her. So why can’t she remember what happened in the moment before they were supposed to dive? Why was she left cowering at the top of the cliff, while Joey floated in the water below—dead?
As Maggie’s memories return in snatches, nothing seems to make sense. Why was Joey acting so strangely at the party? Where did he go after taking her home? And if Joey was keeping these secrets, what else was he hiding?
Review- I will say this, Kristina McBride hooks you in to the story in the very beginning and doesn’t let go the whole way. We first meet Maggie, her boyfriend Joey, and their friends, Pete, Adam, Tanna, and Shannon Memorial day weekend at their favorite little cliff dive spot. Maggie, terrified of the jump, decides to take the plunge with Joey. They get all the way to the top, get a running start, and then…Maggie realizes something. It’s in that one moment that it all goes wrong. What happened? What did she realize? More importantly, why can’t she remember anything now?
One Moment is a tale of discovering what happened that terrible afternoon. While friendships are put to the test, secrets are uncovered that put this once tight knit group at odds with one another. The writing takes you back and forth between the present time and small glimpses of when Joey was still alive.
This was a beautifully written story. Kristina McBride captures the moment and the emotions so well you’ll find yourself lost in the story.

I LOVED this one!! Such a great read!
