Review: On One Condition

Sometimes you just need a little romance in your life. A moment where you believe that love at first sight actually does exist. With ON ONE CONDITION, you get that plus so much more.

I was a little hesitant on a short story. I thought, what could an author really tell the reader in 85 pages. Diane Alberts not only tells you a story, but delivers a solid backstory for her two main characters that will have you asking her for asking for a sequel.

A morning that begins from one night stand with an uber delicious British Viscount – hello swoon worthy factor – Johanna immediately regrets everything when she rolls over to find bright green eyes staring at her, smiling.

Damon, however, doesn’t regret anything, and is completely shocked when Johanna throws him out of her place. He wants to stay and get to know her, and maybe her name, but she wants none of what he’s offering.

That is until Damon wins her in a Valentine’s Day charity auction – que the string of awe’s! He’s a total keeper, at least that is what I was yelling into my Nook as Johanna continually shot Damon down.

All in all, I really enjoyed this story. This is absolutely a perfect Sunday morning, in front of the fire read, before real life starts calling your name. The only thing I didn’t like, is I felt Damon wasn’t British enough. While he is uber delicious, throwing a bit of British slang into the dialogue would’ve made him simple irrestible.
