Review:
Wow when a book takes you in, sometimes your mind finds itself building the world around what you’re reading. It certainly did in this case. Think Lord of the Rings meets Narnia, but the creatures are not kind.
The Kingdom of Demos thought they were safe and strong. Sometimes with confidence comes ignorance. King Jayson found this out the hard way. Introduce his sons who wish to stand up for their father, the King, just to be laughed at. Then the children (all of them) witness the horror of their kingdom being taken over and their parents beheaded in front of them. I honestly found myself in tears reading this.
Liam finds himself with an unusual gift the King of Boars wants to use as his own weapon. Liam puts all his trust in his family and decides to join this enemy army and heads it up. Of course his family sees this and finds him a traitor (but they do not realize what he’s doing… yet!).
Of courese one of the sons escapes and calls on the tree people to build an army so they may invade… but is this the right decision to make? What will be the consequences? Mr. Evans I cannot WAIT to read more!!! When the story did end I found myself saying out loud, “NO! This can’t be it! I want to know what happens next!” Please… please let us know!
